Joe McElderry showed he was more than a Power Ballad singer when Jamming backstage during the Sell Out X Factor Tour that has just ended. Joe sang a version of Lady Gaga’s Telephone with Jamie Archer on guitar. This new side to Joe McElderry is great to see for all Joe’s fans as he prepares to make his Debut album in the States.

Not content with what many saw as a bullying campaign against Joe McElderry last Christmas. Rage Against the Machine have again had a go at Joe McElderry’s career as they seek to whip up a storm for their “Free” gig in the UK this year.

Jake Who, their lead singer spoke to the Toronto Sun about the band’s plans to have Su Bo at the Concert. Naturally RATM couldn’t help but have another dig at Joe McElderry to gain yet more publicity off of the back of the X Factor winner.

Jake Whoever said “I don’t think anybody has heard anything of that Joe guy since 
Christmas, but we have nothing against him. The truth is Simon’s 
shows occasionally produce talent. We love Susan Boyle, she is 
hot … To show there are no hard feelings we would like her to 
perform with us onstage this summer. She is a great vocalist and we 
would love to perform Killing in the Name with her. Everybody knows 
her in the U.S. and she can add her vocals to anything. It would be 
an honour for us”

Joe took time out on the final day of the X Factor Tour to blog from Glasgow Today, posting on the official site he blogged the following to his fans.

Hi everyone,

We’re in Glasgow and it’s the last day of the tour – I can’t believe it’s nearly all over. I’ve had such an amazing time over the last few months and it’s been great to visit so many cities and meet so many of you! I also wanted to say thank you so much for all of my Easter eggs…I’ve received so many at the hotel! Happy Easter everyone!

Hope you’re having a great day with your family and friends. I’ll keep adding more blogs to the website to let you know what I’m up to.

Unreality TV and Digital Spy both report that Hannah Montana star and Singer Miley Cyrus, is keen on meeting our Joe McElderry. Cyrus of course released The Climb before Joe. It is suggested that once Miley heard Joe McElderry sing the song, she asked for a meeting to be set up between them.

We wonder if there is a duet on the cards of these two huge young stars? What do you think? What song could they sing well together?

Joe took time out from his performance at the O2 in London to take a snap of him and the huge crowds. Joe said on Twitter that he was really excited to be performing at the O2 again, having been there for the National Television Awards.

Joe even managed to sneak out for a coffee in the O2 dashing past people on his way to the Bank and then Starbucks. He said on Twitter that he almost managed to get there and back without being recognised.

X Factor winner Joe McElderry has signed a deal with agency Next Models.

The 18-year-old pop singer was picked for the job by designer Christopher Kane, according to The Mirror. He has already posed for some snaps taken by photographer Simon Harris.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw the pictures,” said the reality TV star. “I really enjoyed the shoot. It will be so exciting to do this alongside my music.”

A Next Models spokesperson said: “Not only does Joe have those classic James Dean-type looks but he also photographs fantastically and has great potential. We are already in talks with two major British designers who are keen for Joe to front campaigns.”

McElderry is expected to release his debut album on Simon Cowell’s Syco label in the autumn. He has also expressed an interest in working in the West End.
