"Joe parted ways with Simon's record label Syco last February.

But the singer has bounced back on the Myleene Klass-fronted ITV1 show, making it into tomorrow's final with Bucks Fizz star Cheryl Baker.

Now he has signed a new record deal, to be announced next week - but he admits it would satisfy him if Simon could see him being successful in another arena....
