Right I will do my review now.

Will be a short one as I am freezing trying to type and nothing eventful happened.

Got to Birmingham smoothly, no problems with the trains.  Met Jenni at the station and we figured out where the hotel was.

We stayed at the Hilton and it was quite a fancy one.  After
chatting in the hotel for a bit we realised doors opened at 5pm not 6pm like we thought and it was nearly 5pm.

So we made our way round to the arena and there was already a big queue.  Everyone seemed to be queuing together whether they were seated or standing, so I got in the queue behind Rochelle.

It think it was around 5.30pm when we got into the arena.  I stood as close to the front as I could which was quite a few rows back.

They played music until the event started and the place started to fill up.

At 6.30pm Sam and Mark introduced Mark Ronson.  I can’t remember the order of everyone but next it was McFly, Alexandra, The Wanted, Shayne Ward. Most of them were good, The Wanted were out of tune and some big silver b*ll/balloon things were falling from the sky, now I was NOT happy with this.  The Wanted and falling b*lls all in 15 minutes is not my idea of fun.  Was a bit surprised Alex only had 2 songs, as did Shayne.

Olly Murs ............................. ummmmm.  I tried to watch him objectively and see what other people see and I just don’t get it.  He sings with a annoying cockney accent and overdoes it at certain points in the songs, at one point I expected him to sing “Get outta my pub” in Peggy Mitchell style voice.  I hate what he was wearing too and he sang that awful b side to PDLMG, this is for the girls. Urrg I hate that song! I thought Olly seemed a bit disappointed to say Thinking of Me was a top 5 single, despite him saying it was exciting.

Can’t remember who else was in the first half, oooh The Hoosiers the main guy fell over which was funny.

Then it was the interval, I need the toilet but didn’t want to loose my space.  A few people did get out of the crowd to the loo or get a drink and I got closer to the front.  Oh I forgot to mention the people that fainted, there were about 3 or 4 around me that did, one girl was sick and the smell lingered on for ages.

Haze who was at the front said loads of people fainted and were dragged over the barrier.  It was very hot in their, I wrapped my coat around my waist which I hate doing, I always feel very much a European tourist haha.

I met up with Addicted2Tea and Stolensivler (DS) in the crowd and then the 20 minute interval was over.

James Blunt was on first, I don’t really like his voice and he didn’t get the best receptions, but he did a good set and won everyone round I think.

Next up was Joe.  I wasn’t going to record Joe’s set as my view wasn’t good, but as I had sneaked closer during the interval, I had a better view then I originally thought i would so decided to record anyways.

So Joe comes on looking gorgeous and started off with SWMU, singing brillantly as usual.  Some people around me seemed to know the words which made me happy.  Imo i think he worked the crowd, paid attention to different areas, waving, winking, smiling getting us to clap, but he only asked us to clap once I think.

I was wondering whether Joe would do 2 or 3 songs and hoped it was 3 and it was yay.

Joe introduced the second song UTSRO which I was very happy about as I was expecting the climb, and it was good for Joe to an uptempo number and I think he shocked a few people with his dancing, it got a big cheer at the end, so despite not being a song everyone knew it went down well.  I was also happy to see the two girl dancers had got rid of the pink jumpsuit, which I hate. They looked alot more casual.

Lastly Ambitions, which again I think was brillant, the crowd joined in with this one too.

After Joe’s performance I got out of the crowd to go to the toilet and get a drink, I was dying of thirst.

Diana Vickers was on next and I missed the whole of her performance, I could hear bits of it, I know she sang Once, but I can never understand what she sings so it all becomes a bit dissorted.

All of the bars seemed to be closed which I found silly as the event hadn’t finished yet, after walking around the whole venue I found one small open by bar by where I came out of the arena lol.

I drank my drink in about 2 seconds flat and was trying to get back into my space with Michelle’s drink.  It was hard to squeeze back in and not everyone was happy about it.  The Saturdays were on at this point and I think they were actually quite good, they all looked lovely and sparkly too, they sounded better live then I had expected.

The Saturdays were just finishing as I got back into my place and The script came on.  The main guy Danny was doing some of the same moves Joe does as he bounced around which I found really cute. They were actually really good and Danny looked geniuely teary at the response they got.  The sparkly bits came down and that was it.

Overall I think it was a really good show, value for money.  Sometimes on these shows you get rubbish artists on at the beginning and good artists at the end, but every act was well known and good to their own degree, (expect Olly, sorry I just can’t say he was good). But some artists who I am not actually fans of like McFly I thought were really good live.

I spotted Jen chatting up some old guy, (nothing new there  ) and caught her attention.  I met up with Jen when we got out of the crowd then we saw Haze at the Champayne bar, which was shut, (how rude, I could have murdered a drink).  We chatted their for a bit, about Joe mainly, (ok ok all about Joe), before getting kicked out of the arena by the cleaners.

So we were chatting and walking along and figuring out how to all get to our hotels.

Addicted2Tea and StolenSilver were going to get a bus to there hotel, then someone said the buses had stopped.  Stolensilver went to ask a truck driver where to go, what best to do and I was a bit shocked that me and Jen were called over to catch a lift with the truck driver.

So we clambered into this industrial truck to take us 5 minutes up the road to our hotel.

When we got there we meet two of Jenni’s Will Young friends who were both lovely.  I was starving at this point as it was about 11pm and I hadnt’ eaten since lunchtime.  I ordered Nacho’s and wedges not realising just how big the portion of nacho’s would be, but they were yummy.

Jen’s friends left around 1am and some how me and Jen continued to chat until 2am in the bar before going back to the room.  On our floor the lift stopped and we thought we were stuck, until I pressed a button and the door opened phew.

When we got to the room me and Jen started chatting before going to bed and soon it was 3am and I said to Jen, no talking.  And what does she go and do, only start talking to me.  Now when i want to wake Jen up at 4am in the morning as I have decided not to sleep before getting our wristbands for the HMV signing in Newcastle it’s fine, but DO NOT disturb me when I want to sleep, I get grouchy lol.

We got up at 9am yesterday morning, got ready and went down for breakfast. I had a big breakfast and it certainly filled me up.

We had a bit of a faffle trying to check out being told we owned £37 despite it not being mentioned on Jen’s confirmation email and in the end we were told we owned nothing.

We exited the hotel from the main entrance instead of the back way we came from.  After wondering to the end of the road we realised we didn’t know where we were going and headed back to the hotel to go out the way we originally came.  We were then told there was a shuttle bus to the station, so we jumped on that instead in the warm.

So I got on the train, got a seat and had a bit of a sleep on the train before being rudely woken up by Joe tweeting about Hyde park and running.

Got home about 3pm uploaded my videos and went for a sleep at 6pm, missed all of XF, oh what a shame.

There we go, the shortest most unexciting review I will probably ever write.
