Joe's New Album "Wide Awake" - ALL Comments in this Thread Please
« on: October 22, 2010, 01:55:33 PM »

I have just received and listened to my 1st copy of "Wide Awake" and it is sensational and well worth the wait.
Each track has potential hit single written all over it.
Songs like ""Someone Wake Me Up" and "Faraenheit" are sheer class.
Can't wait for you all to hear it!!!!

Thanks Taco.  Tongue

I have "Wide Awake" listening to it for the 3rd time.  Kiss

My top 5:

Superman
Wide Awake
Someone Wake Me Up
Real Late Starter
Until The Stars Run Out.

Originally hearing the previews Until the stars Run out was not one of my favourites and I preferred “Feel the Fire”, but listening to it in full I prefer Until The Stars Run Out.

I love the album, but least favourite track, The Climb lol.

I am having great trouble in picking my favourite track on the album.
I still reckon most songs have "hit single" plastered all over them and I still really love "Faranheit" which will go down a storm in the gay clubs with it's pulsing HI NRG beat.
"Superman " is beautiful and "Someone Wake Me Up" has gotta do really well when it is released as a single.
I just can't make up my mind!!!!!!
Someone help me?!!!!?Huh?
Can't stop playing the album either.
Just had to take it off my heeadphones halfway through, or I will be late for work.
x

I do love the album but I am a little disappointed that Joe's voice hasn't been 'showcased' in the right way in my opinion.  It was his voice that we all fell in love with on the XFactor and, for me, to have so many effects and synthesizing going on is a shame.  His voice seems to be in the background somehow and I would love to have had an album of Joe's powerful voice showing off its purity and range - not covers - but songs especially written for him showing his uniqueness???  I guess I'm on my own here  Shocked  Cool

I do understand what you mean Susie and I am sure you are not alone.  Roll Eyes  Having said that I still love the album, I think I kind of realised a while ago that it maybe wouldn't be the best album to showcase Joe's voice, hopefully that will come in the future.  Right now Joe wants to do something different and fun and that was neccessary to be seen as a popstar rather then a crooner if you caught my drift.
