Joe at The Splash of Pink Fashion Show

Here is my review from the Splash of Pink event. Kiss

Apologise if it doesn't make sense in parts, have copied straight from joe-music.

Right, where to start.

I will start by saying I got lost on the London Underground going to Josie’s yesterday evening, had a massive case that I couldn’t carry and had to wait 45 mins for the next train. But people my bad luck was about to run out, ooooh yes.

On to the interesting bit. Me & Josie went to meet the others at a little country pub then went onto the very posh Robin Gibbs house. We were passed pink champagne on entrace and the lovely, rather handsome waiters kept topping us up all day, wine is never good for me, one glass and I am gone, but I managed to not get drunk and fall over.

Josie and a lady from DS went to look for a cloak room, then Joanne said to me, oh there’s Joe. So I was looking like, OMG where, where, then I saw Josie walking with him, and I was screaming, OMG Joe is with Josie, somone told me to calm down lol. Josie will tell you more about what Joe said while walking up the garden path. But he recognised her, from on the tour in March, like 7 months ago.

Joe got nearer and I was like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. He came right up to us and said hello to Joanne, clearly recognised her and gave her a hug. Then Josie said to Joe, this is Hayley she is a massive fan, (THANK YOU SO MUCH JOSIE, I WOULD NEVER HAVE HAD THE GUTS TO ASK HIM FOR A HUG). Then Joe hugged me and said something like, “Hi, you alright”, and I replied, yeah. I remember thinking shall I pat his back or stroke it, I think I stroked it in the end. He looked gorgeous as usual, loved the hair. All smart in a suit, but a nice funky suit, really looked good in it. Joe then started talking about GNR with Addicted2Tea and Hunneyt, Addicted2Tea asked if his feet hurt, and they said they ran the race too. So Joe was having a little chat with everyone, but I didn’t have the guts to speak, infact I think I lost my tongue

Joe then asked if anyone was going to the radio tour and Josie said, Joanne & Hayley are, I was just about to say, I am stalking you all week, but decided against it..

Joe then was been ushered inside, and Joe said he would pop back and speak to us if he could. Josie asked me if I was ok, and if I was happy and at that point I think I nearly died, I started shaking, I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to cry or laugh, but I as sure as hell couldnt breath, I was standing there hand on chest, just trying to breath, like did that just happen. Joe McFrickingElderry hugged me.

We made our way into the markee to take our seats, we were right by the door. Joe was near the front of the room by the stage for the fashion show. Ben Shepard came on to talk about the event, ahhhh Ben Shepard, his lovely.

The Fashion Show started, some nice dresses and good looking guys, but jesus the models need to learn to smile, talk about grumpy looking.

After all the pink champagne I had drunk, (about 3 top ups by now and not drunk, very pleased with myself), so I needed the loo, as you do. Got up to go to the toilet then saw Joe walking through, so I ran back to my seat to watch him walk past, sad I know. We guessed he was going to the toilet, but I assumed he would be going to a special “VIP” toilets, so off I went to the toilet, walking a lot better then normal in my heels, less like a man in drag, and for a change they didn’t fall off, yay. I was standing in the massive queue for the ladies, when out rocks Joe from the mens, I need to tell you that these are them nasty portaloo things, I just kind of stood there staring at him and whispered hello to myself, (first sign of madness that, talking to yourself ) Joe smiled and walked off, I then thought f*** what if everyone gets a photo with him while I am here having a wee, so I ran back to my seat, and I mean ran, dedication that is, cos I do not run.

For those of you those who have seen the group photo, I am the one with the glasses and blondey hair, black dress. I kind of look a bit spastic, always do in photos, unlike the blooming gorgeous Mr. McElderry. Becca, Chloe did you recognise me?

Joe’s PR people, the guy you saw in a previous photo and a lady, (not Vib) were saying Joe had to go as he had a taxi waiting, they walked outside. Joe ignored them and carried on talking, he kept repeatedly saying, when am i going to see you next, me and Joanne said, Monday we are going to Newcastle. Another lady on DS said she was going to Birmingham, Joe said, oh good, I will see you then. Joe was then talking about GNR again, he was surprised with his time and he started laughing at something someone said, the cutest laugh ever belongs to that boy, just loved listening to him speak in that gorgous accent of his, his beautiful smile, he was being so expressive with his eyes and all through his face, it was just adorable to watch him chatting so happily to everyone. I still couldn’t find the guts to speak to him.

I can’t remember all of what he said, I was in a bit of a daze tbh. The PR people then came back in, the lady said to us, sorry guys but he really has to go, the taxi driver is waiting and he is going mad. Just before going Joe said for like the tenth time, when I am going to see you all again, I hope to see you soon. Then he said his goodbyes and left, had a few pictures with people outside too.

I sat there for the rest of the night, doing my seal clap and letting out little screams, couldn’t be to loud, it was a posh a event. Natasha Hamilton from Atomic kitten came on to sing, we were all singing along to “Whole Again” I sound dreadful I know, but I think the excitement of it all made me go a bit crazy.

Robin Gibb came up to sing, and I was singing along to Staying alive lol.

Afterwards they started to do the raffle, no-one expected to win, but Josie’s number was called out, we all thought she had won a nail kit for some reason, but when she went up to claim her prize it was a private viewing of a film of her choice for 30 people, drinks included. Pretty good prize eh.

As we were getting ready to leave and drinking the last of our pink champagne we saw keith Duffy talking to somone, as he was walking out of the door, he stopped for a photo. Then we finally got on our way, we and Josie were just estatic in the car, I rang my mum and probbly was babbling and shouting like crazy telling her the whole story, Josie kept saying, I can’t believe Joe recognised me from the tour, we were just having a proper Joe love in.

When you all meet him, which I know and hope you all do, you will see what a lovely geninue guy he is, so happy to see and speak to fans and just has a normal little chat with you. I am happy to say now I have my photo and my hug, next on the list is to speak to him and maybe stroke his hair. I think I may be a little more in love with him, which I thought was impossible and I think I am obsessed enough as it is. Such an incredible day, i don’t think I can put it into words. it’s crazy how a 19 year old guy can make all these fully grown women weak at the knees, but there is something special about Joe, and I feel I may just be a little more defensive about him then I was before, because he is just so fricking lovely.

So the things I forgot to mention in order:

When Joe was first walking down with Josie, I kept saying, is that Joe with Josie, “yes Hayley”, is that Joe with Josie, each time my high pitch scream got louder, someone told me to calm down and not shout so much haha.

Joe asked us if we lived close by, I can’t remember who replied, but he was probably shocked to see fans there considering the price of the tickets, and short notice that he was announced, and maybe knowing not everyone is from London.

We saw Sunita, she had a gorgeous pair of shoes and a matching [eggs] and was actually lovely, I was quite surprised at that, she approached us and had a quick chat

So that is it, end of the essay. I can’t quite believe it all happened, I feel like I will wake up in a minute, on cloud nine. Joe is just soooo lovely. The fact that he recognised Josie is so amazing considering how many people he met on tour and since, it really shows he takes an interest when meeting fans. I feel like Cinderella lol.
