Alexandra Burke at GAY.

Right so I got into GAY. Anyone ready for a review? Huh

?? ..................................., well I will tell you anyways.

I only got to film 2 songs of Alex before my battery died, it’s uploading now. 95 mins to go now, my youtube page is in my sig if anyone is interested before I post in the afternoon, (technically today). I will post the vid in the Alex thread too.

So I left with two hours to meet big jm fan (from DS, I will call her BJMF cos I am lazy). I got a little lost, went the wrong way to begin with, but I got there in the end, my map helped alot, although I can’t read a map for the life of me. Also the fact I walk at snails pace like a man in heels doesn’t help the matter.

I first had to get my wristband, then met BJMF and went in to find the Heaven club. We asked on guy where GAY was and he didn’t know. Then we spotted a dark haired guy and asked him if he knew, he happened to be going. He told us to park up and meet them round the corner before queuing.

We got chatting to these two guys, they seemed quite nice, they said Joe had applied for the Drama school they attend, he applied for a college in Angel and Essex, appaz.

We were pratically at the front of the queue and got in quite easily.

They played some good music so we were having a boogie, and went up onto the stage to dance. My feet started killing pretty quickly so I decided to take my shoes off, until the bouncer told me to put them back on.

Around 1.30am they cleared the stage and we had to squeeze or way into the main dancefloor bit. A women fainted.

Alex came out and I was trying to film her but was to short, BJMF ended up taking phone to film it for me, I think she took pity on me.

My video from last night at GAY. My batter died so unfortunatley I only got these two songs.

The video isn’t great quality, but Arun and Rachel feel free to copy it onto the Alex forum if you want.

I also missed a bit of Alex’s performance as I nearly collasped, but from what I saw Alex was very good.

I loved “All Night Long”, she also did a little aucostic bit of that song later on. Alex then did a acoustic version of hallelujah, next she sang “The Silence” which was when I nearly fainted which was a bit gutting as I love that song, I am not sure of all the songs Alex sang while I was manically shaking and trying to breath. I then just caught the end of her performance and singing “Start Without You”, they were annoucning her as number 1 and Brian Dowling was there

Now let me explain the feeling faint bit. I started to feel really hot and a little bit sick, now I had only had about 3 voddy’s (Vodka) and diet coke’s and knew I wasn’t drunk or even tipsy. Alex just started to sing “The Silence” I love that song, but was starting to feel so dizzy, all of a sudden my eyes went all blurry and I couldn’t really see, but I was determined to stay in my spot and watch the performance. Then my head started to roll back uncontrobably, after the third time I felt my body kind of slumping, at that point I feared I was going to collaspe, so I started rushing through everyone, saying very slurred, move out of my way, I need to breath.

As soon as I got out the the packed area and into the bar bit, I literally fell to the floor, I dropped my bag too, which had broke about 20 mins into the night, typical. BJMF went to get me a glass of water, and I was shaking like a leaf, trying to breath like I was in labour. They took me to sit down and the man pratically had to lift me up as I was too short and shaky, they kept talking about a medic, and I was like, ooooh no I am fine. After getting myself together, and pulling up my dress. I went back into the stage area and watched the rest of Alex’s performances, I am not quite sure how many songs Alex song due to my near fainting experince. Alex was celebrating being number 1.

We left just after Alex finished and spent about two hours trying to get me home. You all know how bad I am with directions right? Well I am as bad with roads, maybe worse. So sorry again to BJMF for being so sh*t at directions and making her spend ages to get me home, and of course for having a dramatic 5 minutes and making her miss the performance. Heaven forbidden that is not happening when I see Joe, I will just have to faint on the spot, cos I aint’ fricking moving and missing Joe sing. I also hope my phone, which will be my iphone by then, will hold out longer and I will get more videos.

It was worth the test run and research, I also think I may be able to find the place myself too. The 2 gay guys said they would go to The Saturdays with us, we shall see if it happens.
