As we all know Joe has been very brave this week in coming out about being gay and we applaud him for doing such a courageous thing. It must have taken some guts and we all love him for doing this and being so honest to his fans.
Therefore there has been some talk amoung fans that we will start a campaign to get Joe's single the climb back in to the charts for this week. I think it would be amazing to see his single, excuse the pun, climb up the charts. Joe would be very grateful for this to happen and it would reiterate how much we all still back him.
For a start I know Joe has an amazing backing so if people on this board and others boards all bought just one download of the single you never know how far it could go. We would start of modestly trying to get it into top 40 which would be an amazing achievement however with enough backing i believe we can hit the top ten for Joe.
So get posting to all your friends to start downloading his single from Sunday night!!!

I don't know if this will work, as every Joe fan already has the single and will be trying to save their money for other Joe things. Joe's new single will be out in a few months and I think it's best to put our energy into making his first original single AND album number 1.

I understand where you are coming from but i don't think 99p is to bad for most people to see the satisfaction of it doing well in the charts. Another thing is that it is well known that many people stop buying as many singles during the summer period therefore meaning it will become easier to get a higher finish in the charts. Many Joe fans have seemed genuinely interested and excited about this and i hope that everyone possible can get behind this because as they say the backing of many is so much more powerful.

I dont think its the best idea, say it charts at 15, people will moan and say hes a failure.

I would just really campaign when the first single and the album are released.

Maybe if they chose Dont Stop Believing or Somebody to love as the track to Download it would be different?

Wait until Joe has new material to promote.
I have got about 6 copies on CD of The Climb already, plus downloads.
It would be a bit like going backwards in time for him

I understand people are very excited about his new material, i can not wait my self. However i have knowledge that it only takes about 400 to 750 single downloads to get into top 40 in summer.
How amazing is that. I really think we can go far with the campaign and make Joe proud.
Of course we will also buy his new single which will go to No1 and album which will also go No1 and best selling album of the year but i think people are willing to join the campaign to make his new discovery of himself magical. Come on if you are a true Joe McElderry fan you will do it and buy the single please Sonny xxxxxxx

I think we may have to start buying it from midnight tonight so it will count to next weeks charts.
Try drum up some support from the forum so this can be achieved cause 400-750 copies is not that many to get top 40 guys.

I have just downlaoded "The Climb" twicew more, so now have it about 10 times in all.
I am getting ready to have  the outline of my tattoo of Joe done this morning, and am getting really excited.
