Hey Guys!

How are you all?!  I’ve been great.  It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and I had a great day.  I had a party back up in Newcastle with all my friends and family.  We had so much fun at a restaurant called ‘As you like It’ and it was great to spend some quality time with everyone. I would like to say a massive Thank You to everyone that sent so many lovely presents and cards - I loved them all. 

I went to see Leona at the O2 arena in London which was fantastic!! And, then AGAIN in Newcastle - her voice is absolutely amazing. It made me want to just get onstage and sing haha!! Last week I sang at an event in Scotland organised by The Sun’s Gordan Smart.  The weather was amazing and once again I was stuck in a boiling hot marquee haha!!  We had so much fun and the crowd were very supportive!!

After many many meetings and discussions about the album, we’re now soooo close to recording and I’m as excited as all you guys are!!!  I cant wait for you all to hear it when it’s finished. 

Some of you may have heard that I am now an Ambassador for the Teenage Cancer Trust. I’m so honoured to be a part of this charity – they do brilliant work across the country. I’m also going to be running the Great North Run in September which will be interesting as I haven’t really begun full training yet so I need to get started!!

Looks like an extra bit has been added onto Joe's blog, sure it wasn't there before and it isn't in my first post.

I will be flying out to the States in a couple of weeks. I cant wait for you all to hear it when it’s finished.  

Have another look now, you will see it in the bit about the album.  ;-P   I bet Joe had loads of questions on twitter.  So now he is saying the next few weeks, he said that in May at Big Weekend.  I really hope he isn't starting recording in the next few weeks, he is cutting it fine.

If you check the blog again, the bit about going to the states has been taken off altogther.  Very strange and I wouldn't consider it soooo sooon either.

The fact that it had changed and the  mentioning of going to the states, I can understand, because we all need to know.. but WHY on EARTH change it again?
Its very strange indeed...why why why... Me Dont Like!

I'm wondering if it's kind of a disinformation thing. There was an article recently about songs being leaked from Simon Cowell's label. I think the less confirmed information is out there, the better they can keep it all secret where recording is & when etc. All to the good for Joe. I know it's hard but probably we should just be patient.
If, however, come October & still nothing, well let's just say I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of the McElderry Army! Lol

Yes Paul, but it is not just the point of Joe going in the studio and recording, there is a lot more too it on the technical side etc.    Simon and other people how I have spoken to with industry knowlegde have said it takes around 6 months to make a good album, Joe doesn't have 6 months left.  As much time as he may have spent rehearsing, learning the songs etc, it seems like he is still yet to record them.  Sometimes changes to songs are required. 

We have been told by Vib that previous winner's have started recording in May/June, it's now July!!  I don't understand what the hold up is.  Alexandra's song was first played on radio etc in August, that is only one month away now. 

I am not going to stress, rant etc, although the above may tell you differently.  I have decided to go with the flow, but I find that very hard indeed, and in all honesty I am concerned.

Try and stay calm about it Hubz. We don't actually know what's happening. Could be the music is being laid down as we speak and Joe will add his voice later. Could be the nature of what they are doing doesn't require as much time. Could be they are waiting to get time in an even more up to date studio. We don't know anything so now's not the time to get worked up. If it comes to it, we can all make some noise but it's too early at this stage.

Haha Sweetie, that post was me being calm and relaxed.    And you tell me to calm down, I would hate for you to see me angry.     Although I am sure you have seen some of my angry rants before lol.
