It's safe to say that Joe McElderry fans were furious that we got to meet the lil’ X Factor star at radio 1’s Big Weekend. So furious that they even tweeted Joe, warning him to run far, far away.
 
Fortunately for us, Joe chose to stay put and even gave us a bear hug (surprisingly tight for such a small man) when we met him yesterday.
 
He refused to tell you lot to calm down – in fact, it sounds like he loves how crazy protective you all are. Does that mean we’re going to get even more stick? Probably.
 
Naturally, we had to put Joe on the spot (it’s what we do, innit), and tried to discuss whether Justin Bieber looked like a lesbian. Sadly, his media training is impenetrable, but his flabbergasted little face (and nervous glance at the PR – who was fortunately creasing up) is quite the picture.

Yeah its really positive! Apart from their little fib at the start claiming they've never said anything horrible about Joe!

Yes I noticed that - the cheek. V. funny watching his reactions though, he coped with them beautifully. It was nice that he was happy with his fans' protectiveness.
Looks like their knives are out for Bieber now instead. Be interesting to see what his fans do. Lol

Hmm.. Bieber has an army. Dare I say it, I think Biebers army is a tad stronger than McElderrys. But this will all change once the albums out!!!
