From the Radio 1 website:

ButtonDigital viewers can press the Red Button on any BBC channel from 4pm each day over the festival weekend. Extended highlights of band sets, backstage interviews and gossip brought to you by Radio 1 DJ Nihal from this years event in Bangor, North Wales.

Coverage will start at 4pm through til 2am on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd May.

It would be great if Joe could tweet when his set will be aired and whether it will be on the radio, red button etc.  As far as we can see from the tv schedule Joe's name is not down, but you never know.    Hopefully his set will be played somewhere on Saturday, I will be listening/watching. 


Hopefully it will be put up on Youtube as well for all the non UK residents and for us to re-watch over again.

They have now responded:-

We are unable to tell you the exact time that Jo McElderry will be performing in the Live Lounge, however all the Big Weekend action can be experience on air, online and on TV over the weekend. We will be live from Bangor from 7am on Radio 1 and will be covering all the action including Live Lounges. Online you will have your chance to choose what you want to view…loads of different options including the main stage, the outdoor stage, roaming cam and all over the site!  You can also catch up with the action on BBC 3 - 7 shows giving you the opportunity to see all the action from Bangor and hear from the stars of the day including sets from Rihanna, Dizzee and Florence.    And finally the BBC Red Button - Nihal hosts the best of the performances plus a unique backstage insight, catching up with the stars both pre and post show.  We hope this helps with your query Best Wishes The Radio 1 Team
