Susan Boyle Wanted For Rage Against The Machine Collaboration

Rage Against The Machine want to work with Susan Boyle and also make peace with pop mogul Simon Cowell.
The rock group angered Cowell when they topped the UK singles chart at Christmas with their re-release of 'Killing In The Name' (thanks to a massive internet campaign) - which kept X Factor winner Joe McElderry from reaching number one.
To thank their fans, Rage are hosting a free show at London's Hyde Park in London this summer and now they've invited Boyle to join them on stage.
"I really hope there are no hard feelings with Simon," Frontman Zack de la Rocha tells The Sun. "He seemed to think that it was a bullying campaign but the truth is the British people wanted a change.
"I don't think anybody has heard anything of that Joe guy since Christmas, but we have nothing against him. The truth is Simon's shows occasionally produce talent. We love Susan Boyle, she is hot."
Zack added: "To show there are no hard feelings we would like her to perform with us on stage this summer.
"She is a great vocalist and we would love to perform Killing In The Name with her. Everybody knows her in the US and she can add her vocals to anything. It would be an honour for us."

Wow what a contradiction. You think the British public wants change and you disagree with singing reality shows, yet you would like to perform with Susan Boyle, who was pushed into the limelight through a reality show, how very strange.
Also the fact they would like to sing Killing in the Name with Susan Boyle as well, makes this article even sillier, as this song is meant to be about not buying music that is forced onto us by these reality shows.
Also RATM may not have heard of Joe since the whole campaign, even though he is near the end of a 57 date tour, so yeah love, he is not doing anything at the moment is he. As the Rage are from the US, you wouldn't necessarily know what he was up to unless you were following his career anyway, and they obviously haven't done their research.
I hope this collaboration doesn't go ahead, I think it would be a bit of a joke.
This Zack guy is probably saying this to get some more publicity, as after the whole campaign, his silly band haven't had much publicity either.
At the time RATM said it wasn't a personal attack on Joe and more about Simon, so why know are they sucking up to Simon and wanting to work with one of his artists, I thought Simon was just a puppet master, everthing they dispise of. They should apologise to Joe, and for the disgusting things their fans did and said about him.
Oh and one last thing, Joe did get to number one the week after The rage did.
Thanks for posting Alice.

Calm down Mss H. LOL I can feel your anger hehe.. and I can relate to that.
If RATM were half the men they pretend to be, and be as fundamental as they want to be, they would have invited Joe to this concert.
What the f..k has Mss Boyle to do with that hate campaign towards Simon and Co? It just another way to get free publicity..
"I don't think that anybody has heard of THAT Joe since Christmas?" Can't believe that! Joe performed many more times in much bigger places that RATM will ever do..
I will never mention that band anymore.. complete ignore them.

"I don't think anyone has heard of that Joe guy since Christmas". Oh yeah? Well, I don't think anyone will hear of Rage ever again! Joe's brilliant future is only just beginning, so why should it matter how much he has been in the spotlight during the tour? He has been hard at work ever since December. Never, ever complaining, always doing his best to make his fans proud, and always giving outstanding performances. Rage could take a leaf out of Joe's book. Oh, and about the whole Susan Boyle thing, yes, I agree with Hubz, it would be a complete joke.

Ditto ditto. I agree with everyone. Call me a cynic but I think the whole inviting Susan Boyle thing is probably a way of getting funding for their free concert. Joe is not established yet.

I don't think anybody has heard anything of that Joe guy since Christmas, but we have nothing against him.
Funny that. How long have RATM not been heard about? I think it was what 20 years?! Haha what jokers they are
Who cares if they have nothing against him, we have everything against them and their fans and that will never change

they say they have nothing against Joe, but he is the only one who has been affected by their stupid nonsense. I don't see how that can be right...
and as for 'I don't think anybody has heard of that Joe guy since christmas', well what a load of crap that is. He has just been the most important act on a huge sell-out tour accross the UK! I think a considerable number of people will have heard of him since christmas.

RATM are one of the biggest rock bands of all time
Tom Merello is an amazing guitarist
so saying they're not gonna perform in bigger places than joe is silly, they've had multi platinum selling albums in america
also it wasn't them who set the campaign up, it was two people who simon offered a job but they turned it down
but i don't think people should hold a grudge, joe got the number one and they gave all the money to charity and held a free gig, so it was win win
this will probably go number one in a lot of places though, so good luck to them
you'll probably all -karma though because my opinions not anti-ratm

Thats your opinion hannah, strange one at that, but you know we are all going to disagree with you, as this site is pro-Joe and therefore automatically anti-ratm because of what the campaign did. RATM were not innocent in the whole shabang, and they definately encouraged the disgusting behaviour that was coming from some of their 'fans' the majority of them were not their fans anyway and wanted to join the bandwagon for other reasons.
Anyway I have moved on from this, I know that Joe is going to be more succesful as they have and will ever be, considering most of us in the UK hadn't actually heard of them before, so thats all I have to say about ratm.

RATM are only big in the US. They had not had any major success in the UK up until the campaign last year. Although they didn't set it up, they were certainly very much involved in it and were encouraging their so called 'fans' to support the whole cynical campaign in very sneaky and dishonest ways. Saying that Tom Merello is an amazing guitarist or that it was all for charity does not make it acceptable. There are other much better ways to donate to charity. The campaign was cynical and targeted at Joe, and most of the people involved in it did not even like the song anyway, which makes the whole thing even more disgusting and false. Anyway, as Becca said, lets move on from this. I'm sure Joe will be far more successful than RATM will ever be, and they will soon fade into oblivion in the UK. Their moment of fame is already over.
