Tour Reviews : Newcastle Arena

27th March (7:30pm)

So I arrived at the arena at 11am to help out Joe’s official street team for a bit. I have to say it was quite cold and windy then but never mind, lol. I looked out for a few friends that were going and managed to catch up with one of them just before they went in for their show at 2:30pm. I looked out for Becca and Hubz while I was there but couldn’t see yous, lol.

Anyway, after standing outside for a few hours they let us into the arena. I got a couple of pieces of merchandise and while inside I had a few people compliment me on my shoes (which were basically plimsoll type trainers which I’d written I <3 Joe all over, lol). Grin

When we were able to go through to the auditorium we found our seats and we were actually really close to the stage unlike the previous night. It was a shame my camera died on me half way through the show on the 26th (meaning that I had no Joe photos on stage and wouldn’t be able to get any) but I was just thankful to be there in the first place.

Like the previous night, I was sitting among loads of Jedward fans! It was quite funny because when that ad about winning a day with Joe that played the climb came on the big screens I just screamed really really loudly and a few of them just turned round and looked at me like, “what the…”. Lol. Tongue

It was also funny when I was singing and dancing along to Bad Boys before the show started and the camera pointed at me and I was on the big screens and didn’t even realise until people started laughing at me, haha. Roll Eyes

Anyway, the show started and I don’t know why but the atmosphere felt a bit more electric than the night before for me; it may have been because I was closer to the stage. I really enjoyed everyone’s performances especially Stacey’s and Olly’s.

And of course JOE!

I have to admit that I was so much more emotional at this show when Joe was on stage – and that’s saying something because I was crying a lot the night before as well, lol. Roll Eyes

When he was singing ‘sorry seems to be the hardest word’ and ‘shes’s out of my life’ I was just in tears. But of course I was up and dancing during don’t stop believing and I was singing along to Love Story.

Joe was absolutely amazing as you would expect but I think he was a bit more lively on stage than the show on the previous day so I’m guessing he was feeling better. He was being really funny as well because he was messing about and joking with the dancers after don’t stop believing. He was nudging them and sort of pretending to push them further back on the stage, lol. Cheesy

I made the most of every second while he was on stage and before I knew it he was already singing the climb and it felt like he had hardly been on stage a couple of minutes. Well, they say times flys by when you’re having fun, and I was having an amazing time! Anyway, it was a brilliant vocal as usual!
I was so pleased as well towards the end because when it went all quiet me and a couple others near us just shouted “I love you joe” at the top of our voices and he waved over to our side of the arena and showed everyone his beautiful smile! Cheesy

When Joe came on for his part of you are not alone he just sounded fantastic! His voice is just so pure and powerful, just brilliant! I literally just began to cry loads and I was just saying to my Mam “I’m so proud of him, he’s so amazing!”

On the way out I found one of my friends from school (who I didn’t even know was going, lol). Bearing in mind I was still in tears (I was sooo happy though) and she just gave us a big hug and was like “I’m crying too, Joe was incredible!” That made me feel a bit better, lol.
As you can tell, I can be quite an emotional person at times, haha. Tongue

Anyway, we got back to the car and took the roof down and as I was heading through the center of Newcastle I just shouted at the top of my voice “I love Joe!!!” I got some funny looks off some people but a few cheers from some as I shouted it, lol! Cheesy

This review is probably a bit longer that I originally planned but, y’know, haha.

This was one of the best weekends I’ve ever had, if not the best! Grin
