A couple saved their daughter's life - thanks to watching X Factor.

Bethany Pardon, nine, was diagnosed with leukaemia 48 hours after parents Wayne and Natasha realised her rash was the same as a child with cancer on the TV show.

Dad Wayne, 38, said: "The X Factor team were doing a charity record for Great Ormond St Hospital and one child there had the same red spots as Bethany, which we assumed was eczema."

hey immediately took Bethany to the doctor and she was diagnosed after a hospital referral.

Wayne, of North Walsham, Norfolk, said: "If we hadn't seen X Factor we may never have checked it out. We had no idea she was ill."

Brave Bethany has now been given a Cancer Research UK Little Star Award after suffering months of tough chemotherapy for acute myloid leukaemia.

She is about to start her fourth and final bout of chemo, although tests show her cancer has gone.

Aww, it just goes to show that the X factor charity records do some good, it is brillant that Bethany's parents spotted the signs in time and able to get the help she needed. x
