i hope he does well but joes is my fave am a joe fan and always will be i dont think i be buying his album either he reminds me of will young if i want to listen to something like that then i just chuck on one of my will albums but i want to hear joes albums that one am dieing to hear and buy

Im sure lots of you will have seen in the news and from Olly's twitter that he has been signed to Simon Cowell's record label, the same one Joe is on, obviously. I am really pleased for Olly, but I fear that this will take Cowell's attention off Joe and make him focus more on Olly.
I read somewhere that Olly is starting recording for his album very soon, as we know Joe is too. As they are on the same label and both working very closely with Simon, I'm just concerned that Joe won't be getting as much attention so that he can make the best album possible.

What does everyone think?

I think Simon has to do his duty to the winner, before he can concentrate on any one else. Olly may have been in Simon's category, but he must have seen the voting stats and seen how popular Joe was compared to Olly, so fingers crossed, Simon has his head screwed on and concentrates on the right person, which is clearly Joe.

simon would be mad to ignore joe considering its the public that voted for him to win so its the public who are behind joe & will buy the album! so i'm sure Joe will be fine thank godd <3

i'm sure they'll both be great but they do appeal to different audiences especially with olly's fun and party tunes!

i'll probably buy both myself more excited for joe's though, i can't wait!

I'm happy for Olly, but i seem to remember Simon saying this year of all years is the most important to win, as if he wont be signing other contestants. So im confuzzled. I think the media are going to have a right old field day with comparing the two. Although i've gotten used to it from the whole Jedward thing and now just ignore it. Joe has the voice,look,attitude and i'm sure he will be just fine *touchwood*

and you don't need a good voice to do well, robbie williams is an exceptional example of this
i hope he dont do loads of covers though

I think you maybe talking about me Hannah, yes I did say I don't want Olly to do well.
Maybe it is a bit harsh, but I personally don't really like the guy, just like you don't like Cheryl maybe.  As you have said we are all entitled to our opinions.

Yep I agree you don't need to be a brillant singer to succeed I did actually say that myself in one of the posts on this thread, I just would prefer to listen to someone who can actually sing, as you can't see the performance and dancing on a CD.  A lot of people love both Joe & Olly, (Joe more obv), fair enough.

Olly never appealed to me.. I would understand  better if he signed Stacey who was a big favourite or Danyl as he has loyal followers!

I don't really think Olly has any fans who are passionate enough about him. The only passionate fans I've seen are for Joe, Danyl, Jedward and Lucie.

simon, tbh won't be paying much attention to joe or olly, he'll be working with people like alexandra burke, who are about to release stuff in the usa
and he's got bgt coming up
he'll bother with them when their albums are coming out

He may have come second in the show, but he was never at the top of the voting, and in the week when he was in the bottom 2, if it had gone to deadlock, he would have been out, so his 'fans' can't have been voting for him all that much.
