If you are going to one of the shows and will be taking DECENT photos and or Video then you could win a Joe McElderry TShirt or a Mug

with links to download the Video files and or Photos or email the photos directly then you will be in with a chance of winning.

Sites to upload video to include www.megaupload.com or www.rapidshare.com or if its a huge file you can put on disk and send via post.

You will be allowing us to:

Use the footage anywhere on the site
Edit the footage as we see fit
Use the Images



We hope to have a huge gallery of the tour and also lots of video.



Quality, Quantity  and the speed in which you get it to us will all be part of the judging!We will pick the best 2 contributors and give them a TShirt or a Mug

Another thing people might consider is to get a PayPal account.  It's easy to set up - and great for people that have a bank account but not a credit card.

The reason I mention this is because if everybody wants to upload videos, in order to cope with the amount of bandwidth that will be used re MegaUpload & Rapidshare etc - a free account will not go far!  Trust me - I've been there! So if people have a few pounds a month to spare to share all their files with others. PayPal is universal and a good way around paying for something online without a credit card.

Just a thought.....

I might also suggest that videos and photos be in a special area on the site that the general public cannot access and that requires a special password to access.  Otherwise, every Tom, Dick & Harry will be helping themselves to your bandwidth!

I only wish I could contribute - (as I used to take a lot of concert videos and pictures when my Mom and I went to loads of - now don't snicker people - Clay Aiken concerts in the States!!  ) but as I live in The Great White North of Canada - I can't.

Yeah - I had forgotten to mention this in my last post ....but don't even bother using video to upload if the XFactor kids are like pinpricks in the distance!   

I found you get pretty good shots from front row to about 4th row - and don't even bother with a flash.  All you will be doing is lighting up the head of the person in front of you - it wouldn't even reach the stage.  Some venues actually stipulate that you don't use flash anyway.  It just affects the performers and that's not cool.  The stage will be bright enough that you wouldnot need flash anyways.  You can't use flash if you're taking video right?  And they usually take well......so......

Oh I so wish I could go to a concert.  Or two...... Whaaaaaaaaaaaa

And I do not agree with Dreamy... I don't mind seeing pictures from far or vids from the back row. That way you can see the whole stage and setting and the atmosphere of the concert.

Dreamy there isnt any need for paypal for anyone taking videos or lots of bandwidth for anyone who uploads their videos for us. The reason is once i have grabbed it, i will host it.

PS to everyone else, we dont expect professional photos, and tacom is right photos from anywhere are good. I got some great photos from the NKOTB concert from way back and the huge screens got into the photos too and were clear.

My tips is to lower the contrast and set it for background(normally represented by a mountain) and zoomed all the way before digital zoom

I will try and get good photos and videos.  Here is what I've got from the last concert I went to at Hammersmith Apollo, I was up in the stalls.

OK OK - I'll give yer that!  LOL  You do get a better idea of the whole stage and setup - but I guess I shall just say "that's what I would do"  and not make it in general terms!  Oooops..... 

SO - I really didn't mean for everyone to take me too literally - it was only a suggestion if you want to look up Joe's nostrils or count his eyelashes!   Otherwise it's up to each person's preferences.  Jeeeez.........
