I just have to share this with you.  I got into my friends car today and Joe came on the radio with his great song.  I was just about to say turn it up, when her son rudely said knock this off I can't stand it!  I said "sorry but I got this for xmas and think he is great - turn it up!"  My friend then said "who is it?"  I said to her "Joe McElderry he won the Xfactor surely you must have heard it?"  She said "Never heard of him haven't a clue who he is!!" How can anyone not even know this when he has been on tv, radio, papers, magazines everywhere. I was absolutely amazed and stunned!!!  Stupid girl which planet is she on!!

Maybe she has been living on another planet. LOL. Has she been asleep for the last few months. I mean how can she not know who the god himself called Joe McElderry is!!!

she doesn't watch the xfactor, maybe it's not her style of music
not many teens watch the news and read the papers
magazines are expensive
and listens to her iPod rather than the radio because she doesn't like chart music

and if it was his car, i guess he could turn it off

She is 45 not a teenager!!  and her son is 10!  I am taking my daughter to the X factor tour next month in Newcastle and am looking forward to it as much as she is as I think Joe is a great a role model for young kids and I  love his voice.  I would be an extremely pround mum if he was my son.  He was on the telly and news, on the front page of newspapers everywhere so my point was "how could she not know who he was?"

oh sorry i thought you were a teenager, not many adults can function a forum
but a lot of the older generation watched strictly come dancing rather than the xfactor
and there aren't many adults who know of many people in the top 40, who've been going years, let alone some teenage boy who was around for about 3 weeks
