I did notice that Joe had nothing bad to say about RATM. In fact he wished them well.
I think their real battle is mainly to get number one, and their anger is aimed a Simon Cowell. I feel they see him like a large corporation that smothers the competition.
I myself came to respect him more during the 2009, season, because of the way he treated Joe and the other competitors, I can now see he too has feelings. It’s hard to play the devils advocate all the time.
As for Joy, with a voice like that, and his ability to pull at one’s hart; it doesn’t matter what anybody says. I’ll take odds this kid will be around for generations.
I know his songs move me. So what if I cry at chick-flicks. By the way; I also like RATM.

Firstly…. the singer’s name is Zach De La Rocha… do some research before you post ‘news’

Secondly, Rage clearly said they had nothing against Joe, merely ‘we haven’t heard anything from him’ which to be fair, is true. They clearly weren’t using him to publicize themselves… they were making a passing comment.

Rage didn’t start the campaign at Christmas, nor did they have anything to do with it. Their fans merely decided to buy their single to try and make them number 1…

Also, all of you commenting on this should really do your research, fair enough RATM aren’t your taste in music, but they have been around for YEARS. They are such a big deal that, despite splitting up for 8 years, when they reformed in 2008 they headlined the Reading Festival.

ALL of their albums went platinum – they are very popular. They were HUGE before the christmas campaign, and if you say you haven’t heard of them, it doesn’t mean they are BAD it simply means you don’t open your eyes beyond the music that TV and Radio tell you to listen to. There are so many amazing musicians, you don’t have to wait until a TV talent show tells you to listen to someone. Do some research and find your own taste in music.

They aren’t the same genre of music so anyone who thinks Rage felt threatened is simply a fool. They don’t compare.

Rage have never been in the game for celebrity status, they want to raise awareness of political issues all over the world. Read their lyrics, you’ll see. Plus the reason they broke up is because Zach thought they were getting TOO famous and people weren’t taking notice of their message.

Joe is a talented singer… but he has yet to prove himself as a great artist. Just because you can sing doesn’t mean you can write music or are a talented musician. Rage write their own songs, Tom Morello is an amazing guitarist.

Whoever runs this site, please leave my comment here, don’t delete it. Don’t you think your readers should know some real facts about the band they are arguing against?

I have nothing against Joe, he deserved to win X Factor, I just think he needs to prove that he is more than just a good singer. Beyonce is a great example of what an incredible pop artist should be… she deserves her fame because not only can she sing, she dances, writes and acts. If Joe can do at least some of that then he will deserve all the popularity he gets.

Joe is all of them put together and is a threat to rage and they know this. As for what they might have against Simon, stop using innocent people who come on these shows and use them to get to Simon and although its not taken to heart what you are doing to Joe, he shows me he’s a better person then the bunch of you. Shame . leave him alone, what has Joe done to any of you, other then use a god given talent which leaves me and other’s speechless, including making his family very proud. . and what is wrong with that I ask you? .Stop what ever you are doing NOW!!! Just because Joe hasn’t been heard since Christmas, why should he play into your spoil little child games. He’s here for a long time and hasn’t even reached his full potential guys.Exciting to
know there is alot more where that is all coming from. Maybe the RAGE should try to see what
they can do to help Joe, instead of always harming any progression he is trying to make in the music industry.

luleka, u hit the nail right on the head , thats how they are getting in the press by downing joe . its the same with jedward they have had a lot said about them in the press and joe has never said anything but praise for them yet they also has a go at joe about how they dont stand there and just sing . well for one thing they cant sing and now joe wont be around with them any more (hopefully) they will just fade away . but joe will be going for a long time , ratm will go down like a stone in water as will hedward . ratm is not doing themselves any favours attacking joe , people never forget and it will go against them .jedward performed at a gay club ,what does that tell u , it speaks volumes to me
