Joe McElderry is set to jet off to LA next week to meet Disney studio chiefs about a possible signing, according to the Daily Star. Joe could earn up to £5million next year if Disney decide to turn him into the next Zac Efron. A source told the Daily Star: ““Joe has being adjusting to his new-found fame and fortune by taking his whole family to Austria on a ski-ing trip. “The last few weeks have been incredibly stressful for the shy lad, so he wanted to escape all the pressure and just have fun with his family. “Bagging a high-profile role in a Disney musical would guarantee huge success around the world. You only have to look at Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron and The Jonas Brothers to see that. “He will be prepped on how to come across during his castings this week and could fly out as early as next week to audition.” Joe’s debut album is released in the fall.
